The Myrrh-streaming Hawaiian Iveron Icon of the Mother of God will visit the Bulgarian Orthodox Church

At the invitation of His Holiness Patriarch Daniel of Bulgaria and with the blessing of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, the Myrrh-Streaming Iveron-Hawaiian Icon of the Mother of God will visit the Bulgarian Orthodox Church for the first time from August 1 to 18, 2026.

The icon will arrive in the Sofia Metropoliate on Friday, July 31, accompanied by His Grace Bishop Irenei of London and Western Europe of ROCOR. The delegation will include the guardian of the shrine, Priest Nektarios Janson, as well as other clergy from Europe and the USA.

His Holiness blessed a program of visits to the dioceses of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, which has been published on the website of the Secretariat of Inter-Orthodox Relations of ROCOR.
