On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York, Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, received Nektariy Kotlyarov, the conductor of the Russian Orthodox Male Choir of Australia, at his Synodal residence in New York. During the conversation, Nektariy Alexandrovich spoke about the current life of the Russian Orthodox Male Choir of Australia and plans for the coming year, when the tenth anniversary of its activities will be celebrated.
In connection with the upcoming significant date, the choir is preparing a trip to Russia, where it will perform concerts in Moscow (together with the choir of the Sretensky Stavropegial Monastery), in St Petersburg and Krasnoyarsk, and will also participate in festive services held in the churches and monasteries of the Russian Orthodox Church. In addition, a major choir concert is planned for next September at the famous Sydney Opera House.
His Eminence, having listened to Mr Kotlaroff, invoked God's blessing on his efforts, wishing him a successful trip to Russia and God's help in the missionary work of the choir in Australia.
