Metropolitan of Eastern America and New York Nicholas receives a cleric of the Western European Diocese

On Monday, August 18, 2025, on the eve of the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, received Priest George Mashtaler, a cleric of the Western European Diocese, at the Synodal residence in New York.

During the conversation, His Eminence invoked God's blessing on Father George’s stay at the Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville (New York) for prayer and service. Fr George participated in the Primatial Divine Services held at the Synodal Cathedral of Our Lady “of the Sign” in New York City on the 10th Sunday after Pentecost and the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord.
