SVYATOGORSK, UKRAINE: 5 July 2023
Aid from the German Diocese is received at Uspensky Lavra in Bukovina

On 1 July, 2023, with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Meletii (Egorenko) of Chernivtsi and Bukovina of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, humanitarian aid was received by Uspensky Lavra in Bukovina, Ukraine.

Two tons of food, including 300 kg of berries, 20 kg of tea along with medical and hygienic products were delivered.

Funds for the products were collected by Archpriest Andre Sikojev, Rector of Holy Virgin Protection Church in Berlin of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, sent by the Charitable Fund of the German Diocese. This was yet another collection organized with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Mark of Berlin and Germany.

In addition to the humanitarian aid, footwear for the monastics of the Lavra was purchased along with building material and other goods.

The volunteers delivering the goods then made their way to provide aid to Protection Convent in the city of Liman.
