The Primate of the Russian Church Abroad arrives in Argentina

On Friday, 21 April, 2023, Bright Friday and the celebration of the Life-Giving Fountain of the Holy Theotokos, His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, brought the Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God "of the Sign" to Buenos Aires, Argentina. His Eminence was greeted at the airport by His Grace Bishop John of Caracas and South America and His Grace Bishop Leonid of Argentina and South America of the Moscow Patriarchate.

On Bright Saturday and Thomas Sunday, the feast day of Resurrection of the Lord Cathedral, His Eminence will celebrate divine services. Metropolitan Nicholas’ visit to Buenos Aires will continue until Tuesday, 25 April.
