On the Sunday of All Saints, the Primates of the Orthodox Church in America and of the Russian Church Abroad concelebrate Divine Liturgy

On June 3, 2018, the Sunday of All Saints, at the invitation of His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon of All America and Canada officiated at Divine Liturgy at Holy Dormition Church at Novo-Diveevo Convent in Nanuet, NY.

His Grace Bishop Irenej of Eastern America (Serbian Orthodox Church) and His Grace Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan concelebrated with Metropolitan Tikhon. His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk, Adminstrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, arrived in time for the consecration of a new monument to St Seraphim of Sarov erected at the entrance to the church.

This monument was prepared by the organization Dialog kul'tur--Edinij mir [Dialog of Cultures--One World] and brought from Russia through the efforts of the Russian Center of New York and Northern Cross Society.

In the words of Yuri Sandulov of the NCS, "this initiative is aimed at strengthening the spiritual bonds within the Russian Church Abroad as well as the cultural bonds between Russia and the USA." The creator of the monument was the renowned sculptor Aleksey Leonov of Kaluga oblast in Russia.
