NEW YORK: February 23, 2006


The Great Lenten Pastoral Conference and Retreat of the Diocese of Eastern America and New York will be held at Holy Virgin Mary Church in Albany, NY

With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus, the Great Lenten Pastoral Conference and Retreat of the Diocese of Eastern America and New York will be held at Holy Virgin Mary Russian Orthodox Church in Albany, NY, on March 21 and 22, as reported by Mitred Protopriest George Larin, the Diocesan Secretary. Brief reports by rectors on parish life will be heard on March 21, along with a lecture by Mitred Protopriest Nicholas Tkatschow of Entrance into the Temple of the Holy Virgin Church in Syracuse, NY, entitled "On Obedience to the Church." A discussion on the topic will be held afterwards, then confession and services for the feast day of the Holy 40 Martyrs of Sebaste.
