The Official Delegation Headed by His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus and the Unified Choir of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia and the USA Pilgrims Depart for Moscow

On May 14, 2007, at 11 am, His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus and His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America, the official delegation and the members of the unified choir of ROCOR prayed at a moleben served by Protopriest Victor Potapov, Rector of St John the Baptist Cathedral in Washington, DC. Serving with him were Protopriest Alexei Kotar, Rector of St Nicholas Cathedral in Seattle, WA, and Priest George Johnson, Rector of the English-language Community of the Twelve Apostles in Beltsville, MD, along with Protodeacon Leonid Mickle of St John Cathedral.

At the trapeza that followed, His Eminence Vladyka Laurus addressed the delegation, singers and pilgrims. Afterwards, His Eminence was told of the repose of Mitred Protopriest Roman Lukianov, who had died at noon. Before departing for the airport, the archpastors, clergymen, singers and pilgrims prayed for the repose of his bright soul at the first pannikhida for the late pastor.
