On Friday, February 9, 2018, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, visited the Russian Embassy in the United States, where the parishes of St John the Baptist Cathedral (ROCOR) and St Nicholas Cathedral (Orthodox Church in America), organized a traditional Cheesefare Week celebration. Blessing the feast, Metropolitan Hilarion congratulated the attendees on the festive holiday and wished everyone a beneficial Great Lent. His Grace Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan accompanied Vladyka Hilarion.
