On October 23, 2017, celebrations of the 170th anniversary of the founding of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem under the auspices of the Jerusalem Patriarch were held. His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia sent a delegation of the Russian Orthodox Church to Jerusalem, headed by His Eminence Metropolitan Yuvenaly of Krutitsa and Kolomensk.
