The Staff of the Official Website of the Russian Church Abroad Congratulates Their Editor-in-Chief
On Sunday, June 7, 1992, Metropolitan Vitaly (Oustinov) of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia; Archbishop Anthony of San Francisco and Western America; Archbishop Laurus (future Primate of ROCOR) of Syracuse and Holy Trinity Monastery, and Bishop Hilarion of Manhattan (present First Hierarch of ROCOR), consecrated Hegumen Kyrill (Dmitrieff) to the episcopacy during Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow” in San Francisco, CA. He was appointed Vicar of Seattle. During the same service, Subdeacon Andrei Sommer (now Protopriest Andrei) was ordained to the deaconate.
