A Rare Relic to Be Presented at St Seraphim Memorial Church in Sea Cliff, NY

During regular services on July 9-10, 2016, on the feast day of the Translation of the Relics of St Amvrosy of Optina, St Seraphim of Sarov Memorial Church of the Restoration of Unity Within the Russian Orthodox Church of in Sea Cliff, NY, the epitrachelion (stole) of the great saint will be offered for veneration. This relic was brought from Russia after its Civil War to the city of Harbin, China, then to Australia, where it remains in the home of a parishioner. A few years ago some visiting monastics from Optina Hermitage who study his life and legacy confirmed its authenticity.
