His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem Honored Ascension Convent on the Mount of Olives With a Visit on its Feast Day (Photo-report)

On Thursday, June 9, 2016, the feast day of the Ascension of the Lord, His Eminence Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal and Canada and His Grace Bishop Peter of Cleveland celebrated Divine Liturgy, preceded by all-night vigil the evening before, at Holy Ascension Church at the convent on the Mount of Olives, Jerusalem. They were joined by Archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky), Chief of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem, the mission's clergymen and visiting clerics. During the service, having already celebrated Liturgy at the site of the Ascension, His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem and All Palestine arrived. His Beatitude expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Abbess Moisseia, the nuns and the large contingent of pilgrims.
