The Synod Youth Choir Pilgrims Headed by Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan Visit the Holy Sites of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church

A group of pilgrims comprised of the Synodal Youth Choir of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia from the United States, led by His Grace Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, recently arrived in Ukraine. They traveled thousands of miles to venerate the Orthodox Christian holy sites, including Holy Dormition Pochaev Lavra, as reported by the official press service of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

The monastics took the pilgrims on an excursion, showing them the daily life of the monastery, its cathedrals and churches, and the holy relics and icons.

On May 19, 2016, the feast day of St Job of Pochaev, Vladyka Nicholas participated in divine services at Uspensky Cathedral, while the young singers made confession and partook of the Holy Gifts of Christ. After Liturgy, the pilgrims met with the Prior of the monastery, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir of Pochaev.

Bishop Nicholas then led the pilgrimage to Holy Dormition Kiev Lavra of the Caves and other holy churches of the nation’s capital.
