Protodeacon Nicholas Triantafillidis Reposes in the Lord
On Friday, October 2, 2015, Protodeacon Nicholas Triantafillis died after a long illness in Sacramento Hospital in California. He was a clergyman of the Cathedral of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" in San Francisco.
Fr Nicholas was ordained by Archbishop Anthony (Medvedev) of blessed memory at the cathedral on the Elevation of the Cross in 1992. The late Fr Nicholas piously served in the cathedrals of the Dioceses of Australia and New Zealand and of Western America, zealously continuing the traditions of diaconal service of the Russian Church Abroad.
Before his death, Fr Nicholas partook of the Holy Gifts of Christ. News of his repose immediately reached the San Francisco cathedral, where Divine Liturgy was about to begin, during which commemorative prayers were lifted on his behalf.
On Sunday, October 4, at 7:30 pm, a pannikhida will be performed for his soul, and the funeral will take place on Tuesday, October 6, following Divine Liturgy.
May God grant Fr Nicholas the Kingdom of Heaven and eternal memory, for he was a kind and zealous servant at the Altar of the Lord, and the Editors of this website express wishes for the all-powerful help of God and good health to his widow, children, relatives and friends, and all his brethren clergymen!
