Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk Gives a Patriarchal Award to the Rector of Holy Transfiguration Cathedral

On Saturday evening, September 5, 2015, after celebrations of the ecclesiastical glorification of St Mardarije (Uskokovic) and St Sevastian (Dabovic) by the Serbian Orthodox Church in Alhambra, CA, His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, Secretary of the Synod of Bishops, and His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk, Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA of the Russian Orthodox Church, prayed at all-night vigil at Holy Transfiguration Cathedral in Los Angeles.

After the service, Bishop John, greeting Mitred Protopriest Alexander Lebedeff on the 45th anniversary of his priestly service, noted his special achievements in benefit of the Church of Christ and gave him a Patriarchal decree of blessing and a Jubileee Medal of Holy Prince Vladimir, Equal-to-the-Apostles, III Degree. Receiving this prestigious award, Fr Alexander expressed gratitude to Vladyka John and in his person, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, after which the cathedral’s Protodeacon Andrei Karobkov intoned Many Years to His Holiness, the hierarchs present and the Rector of the cathedral.
