JERUSALEM: December 17, 2014
The Feast Day of St Alexander Nevsky is Celebrated in the Jerusalem Church Dedicated to Him (Photo-Report and Video)

On Saturday, December 6, 2014, the feast day of St Alexander Nevsky, the Chief of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem, Archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky), celebrated Divine Liturgy at St Alexander Nevsky Church, also known as the Russian Excavations, along with clergymen of both local Russian missions in the Holy Land and a large gathering of worshipers.

Praying at the service was Abbess Georgia of Gorny Convent, the nuns of Gethsemane Convent, Mt of Olives Convent, pilgrims and parishioners. At the end of Liturgy, a moleben was served before an ancient icon of St Alexander.

After the services, the clergymen, monastics and pilgrims were invited to partake in a trapeza luncheon.
