The Schedule of Synodal Celebrations of the 30th Anniversary of Metropolitan Hilarion’s Consecration to the Episcopacy
On December 10th of this year we celebrate the feast day of the Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God, the patronal feast of Our Lady of the Sign Synodal Cathedral, and the 30th anniversary of the consecration to the episcopacy of His Eminence Hilarion, Metropolitan of Eastern America and New York, the sixth First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.
We invite everyone who would like to share with us the joy of this event and to congratulate our dear First Hierarch, wishing him good health and strength from God for the continuation of his ardent labors on behalf of the Church Abroad and the entire Russian Orthodox Church.
The celebration program includes vigil service on the eve of the feast day and Divine Liturgy and a thanksgiving prayer service on the actual day of the feast, followed by a festive banquet in honor of the Metropolitan.
Divine services will be held at

Anyone who registers and reserves a place will be able to participate in the banquet.
- Serving clergymen will not be charged (those desiring to concelebrate at the liturgy need to inform the Senior Priest of the Cathedral, Archpriest Andrei Sommer, at email@example.com, using the subject line: December 10.
- Children under 10 (without a designated seat) – free;
- All others – $30 per person.

You may also reserve a seat at the banquet by phoning the Synod and leaving your information with the receptionist.
