His Holiness Patriarch Kirill Congratulates
Bishop Theodosius of Seattle on his 25 th Anniversary as a Clergyman
To His Grace Bishop Theodosius of Seattle Vicar of the Western American Diocese
I send my heartfelt greeting to you on this important date in your life: the 25 th anniversary of your priestly service.
For a quarter of a century now you labor towards the benefit of the Mother Church, “giving all diligence” (2 Peter 1:5), and earnestly striving to bring a hundredfold fruit from the harvest-fields of God. Over this time you have traveled the path of many obediences, each of which has enriched you with experience in spiritual ministry and bringing good order to parish life.
Elevated by Divine Providence to the highest clerical calling, you now perform the service of a Vicar Bishop in the diocese of San Francisco, cooperating in unity of mind with His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill, bearing witness to the Light Which shines upon the true Light, “which lighteth every man that cometh into the world” (1 John 8:9).
May the All-Merciful Creator renew your spiritual and physical powers and send down upon you His abundant aid in your labors, which you perform with zeal for the good of the Church and the salvation of the people of God.
With love in Christ,
PATRIARCH OF MOSCOW AND ALL RUSSIA
