From 4-5 August, in San Francisco, "The Craft of Story-telling: Paths toward a Meaningful Life in Beauty", a two-day festival in which "Conquering Time", a San Francisco group consisting of folklorists and story-tellers, artists and artisans, will take place in that city.  The festival will include two concerts of music and narration, as well as a seminar on bookbinding organized by the Oregon bindery Oblation Papers & Press.  For a complete schedule of the upcoming festival and a detailed description of the objectives, philosophy and activities of the group "Conquering Time", visit their site.

On Wednesday, 25 July, at the residence of the ruling hierarch of the Diocese of Western America in San Francisco, there will take place a working meeting of the archbishops of San Francisco & Western America Kyrill and Justinian of Naro-Fominsk, administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the United States.  The main topic of the meeting is the upcoming celebration of the 200th anniversary of the founding of Fort Ross and the itinerary for the sojourn of Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk and Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America & New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, on the territory of California.
