CHICAGO: December 19, 2011
On St Nicholas Day, Bishop Peter of Cleveland and his Clergymen Celebrate Divine Liturgy at Novo Gracanica Monastery

On Monday, December 19, 2011, the feast day of St Nicholas, Miracle-worker of Myra, His Eminence Metropolitan Amphilohije of Montenegro and the Coastlands of the Serbian Orthodox Church officiated at Divine Liturgy at Novo-Gracanica Monastery near Chicago. He was joined by His Grace Bishop Longin of Novo-Gracanica and Midwestern America, Bishop Peter of Cleveland, and clergymen of the Serbian Orthodox Church and of the Mid-American and Eastern American Dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.

At the customary time during Liturgy, Subdeacon Radomir Plavcic of the Serbian Orthodox Church was ordained to the deaconate and temporarily assigned to serve under His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York of the Russian Church Abroad.

At the end of divine services, deeply heartfelt sermons were read in which the hierarchs reminded the participants of the brotherly bonds which for many years bound the Serbian Church and Russian Orthodox Church Abroad.
