Members of the Organizing Committee for the Kursk-Root Icon's Trip to Russia To Share Their Impressions With the Parishioners of Long Island
On Sunday, November 22, 2009, at 5 pm, the parish hall of Intercession Church in Glen Cove, NY, will host an evening devoted to the historic visit of the Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God to the Russian land. Sharing their impressions of the trip, various visits, holy sites and veneration of the holy icon by the faithful will be Protopriest Serafim Gan, Rector of St Seraphim Church in Sea Cliff, NY, and Priest Alexandre Antchoutine, Rector of Intercession Church. Deacon Eugene Kallaur, Synodal Archivist and a cleric of St Seraphim Church, will also show photographs of the historic event.
