Ukases of Metropolitan Hilarion to the Dioceses of Eastern America and New York and South America

On May 23, 2008, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion issued the following ukases to the Dioceses of Eastern America and New York and South America: 

      Protopriest Andrei Sommer, Member of the Diocesan Council of the Diocese of  Eastern America and New York, is hereby appointed Acting Treasurer of the  Diocese.

      The following are to be signers of all bank accounts of the Diocese of Eastern  America and New York: Metropolitan Hilarion, ex officio; Protopriest Andrei  Sommer; and Protodeacon Sergei Arlievsky.

      In connection with my election as First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church  Outside of Russia and elevation to the rank of Metropolitan of Eastern America  and New York, and with the appointment of His Grace Bishop Gabriel, formerly  Bishop of Manhattan, to the Diocese of Montreal and Canada, the  commemoration of the First Hierarch and Ruling Bishop during divine services  within the boundaries of the Diocese of Eastern America and New York shall be  made according to the formulas attached.

Metropolitan of Eastern America and New York. 

      All previously issued decisions on the appointment of Priest Kirill Joltkevich as the Dean of Venezuela and on the retirement of Protopriest Pablo Volkov are hereby revoked. The resolution of matters in the Venezuelan Deanery will take place in consultation with the above clergymen during our archpastoral visit to South America in the autumn of this year.
