The Service of His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus

On August 15, His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus officiated at the Sunday service at Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY. An ordination into the subdeaconate was performed on this day of Simeon Nekipelov of Australia, who completed Holy Trinity Seminary this year, and during divine liturgy, Supdeacon Daniel Marshall was ordained into the deaconate.

On the Transfiguration of the Lord, Metropolitan Laurus was greeted "with glory" and the singing of the troparion at the entrance to the monastic residence building, from which His Eminence was escorted by the serving clergymen to the cathedral for divine liturgy. During the Great Entrance, His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus commemorated Metropolitan Anastassy (Gribanovsky, +1965) of blessed memory, whose remains lie under the cathedral altar, who was born on the day of the Transfiguration.
